It’s not just about running faster and more efficiently, its about injury prevention and being able to ‘see’ in your head how you’re running. If you can ‘see’ what needs adjustment, it’s much easier to harness the benefits of efficient biomechanics within your own style. There are many aspects to consider for your ‘optimum’ running style and any changes you need to make will depend on what style of running suits you and what are your goals.
At The Body Workshop we offer a professional running analysis designed to achieve your goals - from injury recovery to specific event training and performance improvement.
We offer two levels of analysis:
‘Running Standard’ or ‘Running Advanced’
Sessions include video capture of you running on our indoor track (not on a treadmill that will effect the way you run), instruction on improving technique and specific training exercises to enhance biomechanics.
Our advanced analysis is a longer and more detailed session designed for the more serious athlete or to help with complex injuries.
Running analysis is by appointment only, and where necessary coaching sessions or combined physiotherapy treatment can be arranged.
For those in need of corrective shoe inserts or orthotics - for heel pain, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendon issues, excessive pronation etc, we offer the only custom made weight-bearing orthotic available in New Zealand.
